Tommy had to go by 4wd on a bumpy dirt track to visit the tip of Queensland. He had his photo taken with the sign and had a nice time sitting at Frangipani beach on the way back.
Last weekend Tommy came with me to our combined SES and Fire training. We were learning how to rescue road crash victims using the Jaws of Life. Tommy had a turn at being rescued, as you will see with him inside the car and on the stretcher. He was not hurt at all, sometimes it is just good to have someone to practice with. He also helped chock the car to minimise movement when we were cutting it and he had a go at using the Jaws of Life. Enjoy the photos.
Tommy has arrived in Bamaga today. We are welcoming him with open arms. He is very tired from the long ferry ride from Cairns. I am sure he would have seen lots of turtles and dugong along the way. This weekend, Tommy will be visiting the tip of Australia and having a few 4wding adventures along the way. He will even come with me to Rural Fire Brigade and SES training to watch us practice cutting open cars. Monday he will have a fun filled morning in my classroom. Stay tuned for lots of photos!
